Dedicated quality staff document in-process and final inspections. Most testing happens in-house.

Inspection methods offered by MPS
MethodWhat it revealsSuited toPerformed
VT Visual testing Visible surface discontinuities and weld appearance All materials In-house
MT Magnetic particle testing Surface and near-surface discontinuities Ferromagnetic steels External laboratory
PT Penetrant testing Discontinuities open to the surface Non-porous materials, including stainless steel and aluminum In-house
UT Ultrasonic testing Internal discontinuities, without damaging the part Steel and other sound-conducting materials In-house
RT Radiographic testing Internal discontinuities, recorded on film Steel and other metals External laboratory

Tensile and fracture tests are carried out by an external laboratory. Send your inspection requirements with your RFQ.
